Religions and the insane behaviours surrounding them are the main elements which build up the chaos of today’s modern society. Those themes are the pillars of a new concept album entitled “Madmen & Sinners” currently being recorded by famed fretless guitar player Tim Donahue (Into The Light), which has just been signed to Frontiers Records for the territories ofEuropeandAmerica.
Tim has spent the last two years writing in a much heavier and progressive direction but still focusing on strong melodies and his new album shows a much different side of his songwriting abilities. But the results have been so impressive that he immediately caught the attention of none other than Dream Theater’s singer James LaBrie who has offered him his vocal services for the recording of the entire album !
Completing the line-up on “Madmen & Sinners” is former Extreme, Mullmuzzler and current Tribe Of Judah drummer Mike Mangini.
Recording sessions have started inBoston,USAduring February 2002 and currently James La Brie’s vocals are being recorded.
“I wrote this album with James LaBriès vocals in mind", says Tim Donahue, “I hope MADMEN & SINNERS touches your heart and blows your mind as it includes fast and technical songs balanced by some very beautiful acoustic ballads”.-
Frontiers Recordsplans to release the album right after the summer 2003.
